Maffeis Engineering’s scope of work was the executive project and construction management of this movable bridge over the Chioma river.​

The overall length of the deck is 35m (115ft) with a single span of 31m (102 ft) span that can be lifted up.
In the closed position the deck holds a 4m (13ft) wide one-way driveway and pedestrian access. The pedestrian and vehicular traffic are divided by a handrail barrier in order to isolate the pedestrian path in the event of raised bridge.
The metal deck consists of an orthotropic plate set on four support devices. It is equipped with four hydraulic lifting points powered by electric power or manually in case of emergency. The pedestrian accessibility of the raised bridge is maintained thanks to two spiral staircases structurally contiguous to the mountain lifting columns.
