One Single Model (OSM) approach is an innovative system aimed to benefit the different stages of the design of structures. This approach is an integration of different design tools and data with the purpose to reduce the amount of uncertainty on the architectural and structural design by running iterative analysis and improve the project collaboration and execution under different levels.
The main advantage of OSM, compared to the traditional design process, is the reduction of design cycle latency and allowance for further analysis integration, enabling the evaluation of more design alternatives in a “push-button” type of process, reducing the possible mistakes and integrating the engineering knowledge in the creative process starting from the conceptual phase.
INTEGRATION BETWEEN SOFTWARE AND DESIGN
ONE SINGLE MODEL allows a unlimited and automatic exchange of information between different software (Revit, Rhinoceros, Autocad, Straus7, SAP2000,…), between different designers (architects, engineers, …), during all the phases of the project.
Based on custom software developed in-house by our specialist, the process is highly customizable and adaptable to the client’s request.

CASE STUDY | VERONA FIERE
Cover for VeronaFiere fair main entrance, in north of Italy, was designed from a Voronoi modules with ETFE cuschions supported by 45m height tree-shaped steel columns.
All the project was controlled by the Grasshopper model that was used to perform FEM analyses, renders and technical drawings starting from a singular model to avoid lost of information and time during the design phases.
The roof, 9000 square meter of ETFE cushions, was defined with a repetition of a single Voronoi module to reduce the total production cost and optimized the construction phase.
