The project will be located on Sentosa Island, off the southern coast of Singapore’s main island. The SGO Entrance Canopy is a structure composed of a primary steel frame and an ETFE cladding, to be positioned continuously next to the existing Aquarium building. The structure mainly consists of three parts: “Main Canopy, Small Canopy, Down Hang Façade.

The scope of work by Maffeis Engineering included: Design of steelworks  and ETFE from Concept to Detailed Design; Optimization of the structure through parametric modeling; Wind Tunnel Test; Thermal analysis; Fabrication drawings for ETFE.
