Owned by ThyssenKrupp, the Rottweil Test Tower it is one of the tallest building in Germany. The 246-meter structure is used to test and certify high-speed elevators.
Starting from the project of Werner Sobek and Jahn Architects, Maffeis Engineering and Taiyo Europe performed the construction documentation of the textile facade made by a lightweight steel structure, cables and PTFE fiberglass, used for the first time in this form giving the tower its distinctive appearance
In collaboration with Taiyo, Maffeis Engineering also designed the movable platform for the façade installation that obtained a fully TÜV approval.
