Maffeis provided engineering design from concept to final and construction phase for the structural, mechanical and fabric design of the retractable roof. ​

The main structure is made with parallel timber beams, hiding on the internal the rail system and mechanism for fabric movements, through a complex system of chains actuated by electrical motors. ​

The fabric is supported punctually on the sliding wagons, fully tensioned at the edges once the fabric is deployed, covering the central portion of the mall. Once the roof gets opened, the fabric is parked at the central portion of the roof, protected by a garage structure. ​
